Growing up in Byron Bay, Sandy Gusset always felt she needed more than the small town could offer her, so fled as fast as she could for the bright lights of the big city when she left school. 

After galavanting the globe she realised that recent gentrification meant that Byron had caught up with her preferred level of glamour and taste, so has returned home. When she’s not long lunching at Raes, she can be found calling to the whales on her daily Lightie, or submerged in an ice bath trying to stave off perimenopausal hot flushes
