BACK BEACH WHITE ALE

4.6% ABV
Synonymous with the highly revered coastline of our area and indeed our entire country, the back beach is that hidden secret spot we all love to visit. It's all about relaxation and enjoyment - much like our refreshingly unique white ale.

This light and crisp wheat beer is driven by Belgian yeast, offering hints of spice and wheat phenolics and has just the perfect hint of tartness and balanced malty sweetness. Its clean and thick foamy head makes it the perfect thirst quencher that will see you doubling down for another tall glass.

VILLAGER'S PALE ALE

5.1% ABV
From Byron, to Bangalow and beyond, the lush hinterland is made up of a series of small villages, each with their own unique offerings. Our Villager’s Pale is made by the locals, for the locals and visitors alike.

An approachable session beer, our Pale is the perfect balance of new world hops, supported by a pleasing maltiness with a presence of citrus, resinous pine notes and just a slight hint of aniseed. This is a beer that you’ll always return to for its perfect combination of aromatics, smooth bitterness and satisfying malts.

PROTESTERS IPA

6.2% ABV
Located an hour’s drive from the brewery, the stunning Protesters Falls are so named as a group of locals lobbied in 1979 against a large area of state forest being logged. The protest is regarded as a watershed moment in Australia's environmental movement and cited as the first time people physically defended a natural resource. The area is now part of the World Heritage listed Nightcap National Park and will be preserved for future generations to appreciate.

Our IPA pays homage to this landmark movement by packing its own punch, with an intense hop profile of zesty fruits and tropical notes. This aromatically driven beer is balanced out by a strong bitterness and a subtle malty finish that allows the combination of the new world hops to display their full character.

HELLES HOLE LAGER

4.5% ABV
This is our take on the traditional German Helles lager, with “Helles” meaning bright or light in colour. The play on words pays a cheeky nod to a hidden and treacherous local swimming spot in the nearby hills, yet another natural wonder in their neck of the woods. The use of light pilsner malts fermented for an extended time produces a clean lager with a soft finish which is carried through by a robust bitterness.

Traditional German hops provide subtle notes of spice, and finishing at 4.5% in alcohol, the well-balanced Helles Hole has pleased all the lager enthusiasts out there.

MOONLESS MIDNIGHT STOUT

5.9% ABV
New to the core range is our the Moonless Midnight Stout. “Dark as a Moonless Midnight”, this sweet stout exhibits notes of coffee, cacao and hints of tobacco. A full bodied sweetness to finish is balanced with roasted malts and smooth bitterness. It’s like a nice hug in a glass.

RAIL TRAIL HAZY PALE

4.3% ABV
This latest creation is an approachable session hazy. Light on the alc so that you can jump back on the bike and hit the trail... when the rail trail comes to fruition, that is!

Hop varieties of Azzacca and Galaxy give a pleasant mix of tropical fruits mixed with citrus. On the palate, it’s particularly spicy with mango, passionfruit, pineapple and some pine, with tangerine-esque qualities evident.

Finished with a dose of lactose to give a silky smooth balance between sweetness, fruit and bitterness.

ANKLE BITER CALIFORNIA COMMON

3.5% ABV
Paying homage to founders’ eight kids who have clocked some serious hours at the brewery while their parents worked furiously to open the doors, the Ankle Biter is also a tribute to our fearless GM who suffered a nasty burn on his leg when brewing this beer. This full body California Common (Steam Ale) is brewed with lager yeast and fermented at ale temperatures.

The result offers the formation of a big ester profile. Late hopping of Amarillo produces citrusy orange and grapefruit notes on the nose and palate. Big on the residual malt and bitterness you would be forgiven for thinking this is a full strength beer but at an ABV of 3.5%, you can head back to the bar for another.

BRONZE MEDAL WINNER: AIBAS 2023

WRECK OF THE BAY DIPA

7.6% ABV
For over 100 years it has been sitting behind the breakers, just north of Byron Bay's Main Beach. Mostly submerged, with some parts rising above the surface, The Wreck is an unmistakable icon, sculpting the coastal landscape. To some it's a surf break, to others a snorkelling site, a place to hone your diving skills, or a swimming adventure. The Wreck is a BIG part of Byron Bay and we've created a BIG beer in its honour. This style originated on the West Coast of the USA and is a favourite of the craft beer industry. Made with a mixture of grains, including seldom seen quinoa, Wreck of The Bay has been infused with African pepper “Grains of Paradise”, giving a floral and spicy finish to this beer. Triple dry-hopped offering a huge nose and pallet of citrus and ripened tropical fruits. A complex creation balanced to perfection.

Brewed by our in-house sound techs turned brewers, our Sound Czech Pilsner is sure to resonate with all the lager fans out there.

A perfectly balanced mix of malt, hops and esters. This Pilsner has a big malty backbone showcasing flavours of sweet biscuit and fresh bread. A gentle bitterness from the old-world Saaz hops provides a herbal tea and spice character with a crisp, refreshing finish.

There’s a slight hint of honey and caramel sweetness that adds depth and body.

DAS BOCK

5.8% ABV

Oktoberfest, the most famous of beer drinking festivals, kicks off each year in... September!? Yes that's right, Oktoberfest traditionally starts the last week of September… go figure.

This year, we present Das Bock. A classic clean German lager showcasing a highly complex mix of rich malts. It offers a dominant flavour profile of toasty and caramel malts produced by the maillard reactions.
Perfect for the Oktoberfest celebrations, Das Bock is a beautifully balanced beer of alcohol warmth, big body, dark dried fruits and toasty caramels all singing in harmony!

DOOM GOBBLER SZECHUAN PEPPER PALE ALE

5.4% ABV

It’s a mystery! An Aussie Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with Netherworld Barcade up in Brisbane for their Mystery Menagerie weekend. Can you guess our mystery ingredient...? Well, we have already given it away - Szechuan Pepper!

This juicy beer has all the characteristics you would expect from a pale ale heavily dry-hopped with all Aussie hops. Heaps of tropical and stone fruit, with some melon and berry, with big citrus notes accentuated by the Szechuan pepper addition. Throw in a bit of spice and some vibration sensations and there you have it… mystery solved!

WEREWOLF BELGIAN TRIPEL

8.5% ABV
Returning just in time for a very spooky Halloweeeeeeen, our Werefolf Tripel is inspired by a Belgian beer brewed in an abbey where the lunar calendar played an important role in the monastic life. The monks only brewed this beer at a very specific time: that of the full moon. This practice, based on ancestral and astrological beliefs, was supposed to guarantee better quality and conservation of the beer.

This beer displays a golden colour, delicate bitterness and the addition of amber candied sugar makes it a formidable Belgian Tripel. It is said that after two or three of these, people take on the form of other worldly beings.....Werewolves!

MULBERRY MILKSHAKE SOUR

4.7% ABV

This delicious Mulberry Milkshake Sour has been created with hours of juicy mulberry picking in the surrounding hills - with more of the fruit ending up in our children's mouths than in the fruit bucket!

This beer is made with our traditional kettle souring process of adding lactobacillus to produce a soft tartness and fruity notes.

Milkshake? With additions of lactose, sugar flavours combine to make the perfect balance of sweet, sour and fruit.

Enjoy this one under the Aussie sun!

SUPER XPA

4.7% ABV

Faster than a speeding bullet, more flavoursome than a double-stack of tropical fruit!

This Super XPA is the perfect showcase for the Superdelic hop, used exclusively on this brew.Intense and vibrant, the nose bursts with tropical fruit notes — ripe mango, juicy passionfruit and zesty tangerine.

A touch of candied citrus adds sweetness and complexity. High carbonation provides a nice effervescence that amplifies the fresh candied orange flavours.

Gentle on the bitterness and bright on the aromas, it might not give you x-ray vision, but our Super XPA has ultimate thirst quenching superpowers!
